FIFA 21 is just around the corner, and while the pandemic has forced EA Sports to develop most of these challenges at home, this year's Ultimate Team release is the most extensive and exciting yet.
Early promotions, such as Rulebreakers, show that EA is seriously considering pushing special players in new directions by mixing up the stats to increase its potential. There is no better example than 'Rulebreaker' Harry Kane, whose newfound success has seen him go from SBC fodder to weekend league striker.
Naturally, you'll want to attract these players, and while their prices may seem overpriced, the good news is that there are more ways than ever to make a lot of money with FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. Here are six tips to help you get to grips with the power curve without relying on FIFA points.
This year's new legends are an eclectic mix of international stars who, between them, have defined modern football for the past few decades. It's the defeat of the FIFA 21 Hall of Fame.
Here's everything you need to prepare for FIFA 21.
With EA releasing the latest installment of their major football footwear franchise from October 1, this is the perfect time to make sure you have everything in place.
1. play zonal competition and squad battles!
Once you have a team available midway through the season, the first thing you should do is tackle your division rivals. After completing these five games, the system will place you in a ranked division and you can play up to 30 games per week to earn rewards. What's more, this will provide you with plenty of FUT 21 coins just for completing the placement, which is ideal for building a starting lineup. (You will receive even more coins once you earn a promotion.) Div Rivals rewards are released every Thursday morning, but you'll get placement and promotion coins immediately.
Battle of the Squads is another reliable way to earn money. You can play up to 40 matches per week, but once you qualify for FIFA 21, you can easily earn big bonuses simply by completing far fewer matches. Even if the odds are legendary, some practice will push the weaker Squad Battles team back into the game - they are particularly vulnerable to the sprinters from behind.
2. Do "basic" squad building challenges
Basic SBCs (mixed leagues, etc.) are a staple of every version of FIFA, and they are designed to provide a very good package at a relatively low expense. Ignore the solutions listed on FIFA's website, which traders typically place in the hands of traders who wish to increase the price of a particular participant; you can solve most of the challenges yourself without spending too much coin.
After completing the operation, you will find a number of tradable packages to open. Even if you don't make a lot of money yourself, you should be able to sell these for a decent income, and there will be some useful players there to help you build a competitive entry-level team.
3. Know the market so you can buy low and sell high.
There are many advanced trading methods for experienced FUT players, but the most reliable technique is to buy players on the cheap during bonus periods and in-game promotions.
Each week, rewards are distributed to players for squad battles, divisional competitors, and FUT Championship Weekend leagues. Players can then very quickly open massive packages and flood the market with the items they receive. This temporarily lowers the price and allows you to purchase valuable meta-players at a lower price than you would normally pay. If you wish to use them for your team, that's great, but if you have extra coins, you can also purchase items in quantities other than what you need, wait for the market to rebound, and then sell them for a profit.
The trick is to be online at the right time and know what players should pay so you can find bargains. The Squad Battles bonus will be released at midnight GMT on Sunday, so it may not work for you, but Division Rivals (7:55 am) and Weekend League (9 am) will arrive on Thursday morning. As a result, the market falls and then climbs steadily again in the afternoon. Buy a popular player like Ousmane Dembele at 9 am on Thursday and you can profit at 2 pm that same day.
You can also watch for large market drops during in-game promotions like Black Friday and Team of the Year when EA runs an hourly "lightning tourney" starting at 6 pm and sells expensive packages for a limited time. The market always reacts to this by dropping and then quickly rising again.
